Who We Are

Kalee Tilli, MSHN

Table Root Farm was born from a love of food, community and the pursuit of optimal health. My passion for the power of nutrient dense foods was sparked during childhood with a mother who was passionate about nutrition and a father who had a deep respect for nature, the earth and all it had to offer. As a high school and college athlete, I experienced how food and lifestyle affected my performance, body image and mental health. My ten years of working as a paramedic in and around the city of Denver solidified my desire to be on the preventative side of medicine instead of the reactive side, which lead me to a master’s degree in Holistic Nutrition from Hawthorne University. The four years I spent studying for this degree helped me to piece together the value of looking at the whole person. I do not believe that optimal health can be reached by seeking a number on a scale or a quick fix to our mental and physical struggles. In order to heal our bodies, minds and hearts, we need to focus on our nutrient intake our lifestyle, our community and our environment.

It is my hope that Table Root Farm becomes a place where food is produced in harmony with nature and that the community will benefit, not only from the food that is harvested here, but through workshops that impart knowledge about how the food is produced, harvested, stored and cooked. I want the community around Table Root Farm to feel as though it is a place where they can join together to reconnect with nature and the peace and joy that come with that connection.

  2. Hi do you have gardening classes? I, too, may be able to get a group of people together for a cooking lesson. Farmer Sue sent me.
